Mobilizations Planned for May 3 in Mexico City

The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City announced the Mobilization Agenda for Saturday, May 3, urging residents of the capital to be attentive and take precautions due to scheduled demonstrations.

One of the planned marches is "Every Life is a Triumph," which will take place at the Monument to the Revolution at 10:00 AM. In this march, the right to life and the unborn will be defended, along with Christian principles and values, requesting policies that favor the well-being of women with better opportunities for comprehensive health.

On the other hand, the Mexican Cannabis Movement will hold its XXV March "Legal Cannabis, Constitutional Right!" at 2:00 PM at the Angel of Independence. In this demonstration, advocacy will be for free and universal access to cannabis, the right to self-cultivation, respect for all uses of the plant, and a demand to stop the harassment of marijuana consumers.

The Collective "Las Siemprevivas" will carry out a Walk and Gathering called "The Memory of Those Who Walk with Us" in the "Garden of Memory" of the Faculty of Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) at 11:00 AM. This walk is in memory of women victims of femicide and to demand that university authorities structure appropriate action protocols in response to femicidal violence in the country.

Finally, Relatives and Friends of the Victims of the Collapse on Line 12 of the Collective Transport Metro System (STCM) will hold a "Silent March" at the "Culhuacán" Station of Line 12 at 4:00 PM. This march is in memory of those who lost their lives in the collapse of that Metro line on May 3, 2021, demanding justice for what happened.
